I Guess I MFT Now
In my quest for a digital camera I really only had on desire. I wanted to take black and white photographs with a film quality high enough that I didn't need to do post processing. I could just confidently pull jpegs straight from camera and they would slot right next to my actual film photographs.
I will refrain from going into the experience that I had with Fujifilm. I will only say that I tried and they did not deliver. Full stop.
And I am glad that they did not deliver. I am glad that I was forced to get out and explore Sony and OM System. Had it not been for terrible experiences with other manufacturers I may never have known the joy that I do now. I'm plonking around with a tiny MFT camera and having the time of my life.
Imagine a photo first camera in the year of our Lord 2026! Finally someone is doing more than peddling to vloggers! Oh happy day!
The 4:3 aspect ratio hit my mind like a train. I grant you that will take some time to get used to. However, I find it more expansive and it does make me look at things a bit differently.
One of the joys of carrying a small camera around and taking pictures is that it makes you stop and REALLY see things.
My wife was looking at my pictures from the zoo today and said she hadn't seen this exhibit I had a photograph of. I saw it and she walked right past it. How much more do I get from life when I am holding a camera?
